Marrone Knows That Wins Are His Responsibility With Bills
Doug Marrone brought Syracuse back into college football relevance and because of it he’s now the new head coach of the Buffalo Bills. Marrone joined Jim Rome on Monday to talk about his decision to leave his “dream job” at Syracuse to take over the struggling Bills.
“When you go in there and you talk about, ‘Hey, we’re this far way,’ we as coaches, no one is ever going to put more pressure on us than we put on ourselves and I truly believe that,” Marrone said. “This is a profession that we’ve chosen, so therefore coming in the first thing I’m looking to do is win and that’s what my responsibility is.”
Rome asked Marrone for his take on the Bills roster and his feelings on the offensive weapons, but Marrone hasn’t had a chance since being hired to sit down and really look at his new team.
“I haven’t studied,” Marrone said. “But I am looking forward to speaking with the players and getting to know them and going through that evaluation process.”
