Anquan Boldin joined Jim Rome Friday to discuss the Super Bowl win and the questions about his future in Baltimore. Boldin was the team’s leading receiver in the regular season and broke multiple team records in the postseason. However, with the Ravens facing a salary cap situation, the 32-year old receiver’s name has come up as a possible cap casualty, but Boldin isn’t worried.
“I definitely expect to be back,” said Boldin. “I have another year left on my deal. I’ll have to retire a Raven. That’s just the way it is.”
Boldin has a $6 million base salary next season and counts as more than $7.5 million against the cap, sparking suggestions that he might not return, but the receiver has no intention of leaving Baltimore.
“I love the organization, love the fan base, love the team,” Boldin added. “I’m not playing anywhere else.”
