All year, we’ve heard: Michigan is back. Michigan is back. Unfortunately, I have breaking news. Michigan IS NOT back.
The Wolverines can win 10 games every year for the next 100 years, but if they can’t knock off Little Brother and that team down south every year, then they won’t ever officially be back.
Beating Indiana, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Rutgers means nothing. Knocking off Sparty and Brutus means everything. And the Wolverines failed to do that this year.
In fact you didn’t just lose to your rivals, you lost in the worst ways possible. Sparty ripped your heart out with no time left on the clock, and the Buckeyes straight Urb-stomped you on Saturday… And both teams did so in YOUR building.
The Big House is less of a house and more of a condo, in which both Michigan State and Ohio State own time shares in.
On Saturday, Ohio State ran right through Ann Arbor, literally. Zeke Elliott posted 200+ yards rushing and 2 TD’s, and J.T. Barrett posted a buck-forty with 3 TD’s.
I don’t know if Harbaugh had too much to eat on Thanksgiving or not, but that outcome made it seem like Brady Hoke was still on the sidelines. So praise the pleats as much as you want. Build your statue for Harbaugh if you so please, but just know… Just because Michigan has the KHAK, it DOES NOT automatically mean they are BACK.
