NBA BOMBSHELL. Commissioner Adam Silver, is letting dopes who can’t make their free throws off the hook: he’s eliminating the Hack-A-Shaq.

That noise you hear is the collective sigh of relief from Dwight Howard and DeAndre Jordan. Bad call, Commish. I don’t like that call. Not a very good call.

The NBA without the Hack-A-Shaq altogether is worse than the NBA being slowed down by it.

Listen. All summer K.D.’s been taking heat for taking the easy way out by joining the Warriors. But they still have to go out and win the title. These crappy free throw shooters are the ones who SHOULD be taking the heat for taking the easy way out. Now, they don’t have to actually learn to shoot free throws, because now they’re protected by the league.

Mark Cuban was right when he said, “Rewarding incompetence is never a good business strategy.” 100% percent right.

Sure the Hack-A-Shaq slows the game down. But so does a pitching change in baseball. Should we make starters pitch all nine innings, every single night? Both are strategies to win.

The Hack-A-Shaq is more strategy than delay. It might be annoying, but not near as annoying as some of the world’s best basketball players not being able to shoot it from 15 feet, unguarded.

In fact, it’s not annoying at all. It’s awesome. And hilarious. And now the commissioner has ripped it from us.

Look, if you’re going to put a player on the floor who can’t hit free throws, that’s on you. Last season Andre Drummond set an NBA record by missing 23 free throws. TWENTY THREE! Other teams shouldn’t be punished for trying to take advantage of that.

Talk about taking the easy way out. At least the Warriors still have to step up to the table to win a title. These losers don’t even have to step up to the line.
