When I said yesterday, Cubs fan: how you livin now? Hit me up. Tell me. I couldn’t buy a phone call from you. I’m guessing if I ask you today, how you livin now, you’ll jam the lines.
Because the Cubs completely turned the tables last night: shut-out in the two previous games: couldn’t buy a knock. They all stopped hitting at the same exact time. And then just like that, they all start hitting again, at the same exact time… and now they have their mojo and swag back. Now it’s 2-2: and they have 19 game winner Jon Lester going against Kenta Maeda.
No matter, after last night, this thing is going to back to Chicago. And if the Cubs get on the board early, they’re probably going back home with two chances to win one game in the hostile confines of Wrigley.
How fueled up and amped out do you think the Wrigley Cubs will be for that. For something they’ve waited their entire lives for.
I’m not concerned about it for the Dodgers. I’m afraid for Cubs fan. Afraid that town might actually run out of beer before their guys get the chance to clinch.
It is unbelievable how much difference a day makes. And you know Dave Roberts is telling his guys that right now. He better just hope they show up tonight the way the Cubs did last night.
