Thought we were done with Deflategate? Well Tom Brady isn’t.
And after getting four games ripped from him — and turning those four weeks into pretty much the greatest vacation ever — Brady is going right back at Rog and the Scientifically challenged suits on Park Avenue the best way he knows how. With an endorsement deal.
Because Brady’s got himself a new Footlocker commercial. And he’s using it to yank back some of that cash that Rog pulled from his pocket and to get a few good shots in while he’s doing it.
Good for Brady. Because he spent the better part of two years holding back his words on this — something that his Pops couldn’t do when he was calling into sports-talk radio to defend his kid. Something the Pats couldn’t do, when they were firing off websites and had Bob Kraft ready to go Fredo on Rog and the league after they tried to fall on the sword and Rog still ripped 4 games from one of the best to ever play the game for an ALLEGED ball violation.
So after millions in lawyer fees and independent investigations and appeals to high courts, if this is what Brady needed to do to get over this thing, I’m all for it. And credit to him for not doing it with some lame Facebook post or with some inspirational video about overcoming obstacles.
But with some good, old fashioned straight fire. Fire that got him paid. Boom. Roasted.
So let’s hope this is the last word in the lamest suspension the sports world has ever seen.
