Tiger’s Return

Everyone was freaking out Eldrick fired out -4 through 8: then he played pretty much the way we knew he would. He’s just not the same guy.

The guy so many of y’all are waiting on is dead. He died a long time ago. He’s not the same guy physically. And he’s not the same guy mentally. And he never will be.

He still looks lost to me. He looks like he doesn’t trust anyone. Or anything. Not whatever coach he’s on. Or his swing. I’m just not sure how badly dude wants it at this point.

But I know this: there’s no great comeback here. No passing jack. Really, no nothing.

As for the weekend, the windier it gets, the worst is it for him. Be real about it! The guy was sitting dead last in an event where no one else there really gives a damn. He’s the only one out there really trying, and it still doesn’t matter. It’s the freaking Hero World Challenge, in December, in the Bahamas. If the guy can’t handle that, how the hell is he going to make it to the weekend at Augusta?

And I really don’t think his new sponsor Monster Energy drinks can be that pleased with his act so far. From having Gatorade on his bag to Monster. Business is not booming. How long before he shows up pimping that nose hair trimmer that Brett Favre is all over? Dude’s not back. He’s just there.
