As if Isaiah Thomas hadn’t been through enough already, the Celtics star took a shot to the mouth, blasting one of his chicklets out of his head. And the only thing more unbelievable than him going NHL’er and reaching down to pick it up, is the team trying to reinsert on the bench after he did it.
Reposition? How? Was that same trainer or team doc just going to jam that tooth right back in dude’s head. Sounds like some solution from the middle ages. Just push it back into the gum, as hard as you can, it’ll be fine.
Exactly what was going to keep it in place? Does the gum create it’s own cement? Dude lost his front tooth, does that require a root canal or some sort of oral surgery.?
Good thing my man didn’t tear an ACL, or some staffer may have grabbed a butter knife and tried to repair it right there on the spot.
Either way, Thomas showed once again, just how tough is, knocking down a couple of three’s shortly after it happened. And clearly picked his team up when he did it; they thought it was great, telling him it made him look tougher and that he shouldn’t get repaired until after the playoffs.
Thomas is a warrior, but he should hit up Steph Curry and see if he has any spare mouthguards lying around. Just to be sure.
And no, Jewel is not a Celtic fan nor do I need her take on this clones.
