Durant also told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated that he absolutely made the right decision to join Golden State: “I made the 100 percent correct decision, win or lose. I feel like this is the place I was supposed to be. I appreciate everything I’ve done before this. But I’m here now, and I feel like it’s a great spot for me to be.”

He has a one year player option for next year, but told The Undefeated he does not plan on leaving and playing anywhere else. Of course, he made the right decision. Is there really still anyone anywhere, outside of Thunder fan,  who doesn’t think so. His team just won 67 games in the regular season. And went 12-0 in the playoffs. No team in league history has ever done that. And now they’ll get nearly a week and a half to rest before the start of the Finals.

And he’s running with Hall of Famers, on one of the most talented teams ever, that is as unselfish as it is incredible. Of course it’s the right decision.

Just as it was the right decision when LeBron bounced for Miami: of course, he went about announcing it all wrong, but it was the right decision. Just as it was the right decision when he went back to Cleveland.

LeBron and Durant both improved their situations when they left, so they made the right decision. Especially Durant. It’s a great fit. It didn’t take that long for him to figure out the Warriors and vice versa. They’re winning. And they’re the team to beat and he loves it there. Absolutely, he made the right decision.
